I have borrowed a sony handycam model CCD-TRV66. I’m planning on taking some video of my son and want them on my PC. I found an S-Video cable laying around and connected it to my Geforce 7800 video card.

Can someone let me know if this will work or if I need to go to radioshack and pick up something with USB. I am not having any luck with this setup yet.

I have creator 8 easy media suite which is a program and I think i use that to upload it onto the computer. i want to be able to edit the video and post it onto youtube.

My camcorder is a panasonic mini dv and it uses a tape.
